This 48"x24"x16" Zen Habitats Reptile Enclosure with PVC Panels are great for lizards, snakes, turtles, and other small animals that require a high humidity environment.  Zen Habitats Reptile Enclosure uses 1” anodized aluminum, bamboo printed PVC panels, front sliding/removable acrylic doors, a galvanized steel screen top, additional top humidity shield to retain humidity, and a 6" substrate shield (to keep loose substrate in the habitat when the door is open).  The steel screen top includes screen support bars and wire grommets to give you the flexibility to install your lighting fixtures inside or outside the enclosure.

Why the 48"x24"x16" Zen Habitats Reptile Enclosures?

Large enclosures – 80-gallon equivalent.  Many reptiles thrive when given room to run, jump, and climb.  48"x24"x16" reptile enclosures are twice as larger than 40 gallon breeder tanks.

Non-reflective surfaces reduce anxiety.  Most reptiles are territorial and do not like their own reflections.

Front-sliding doors minimize stress when approaching your pet.  Many reptiles and amphibians have a parietal eye which helps them spot aerial predators.  A lot of reptile tanks open from the top - approaching from above can cause stress for your pet.

Bamboo printed composite PVC panels for up to 100% humidity.  Allows for a high humidity environment without the disadvantages of glass aquariums.

Humidity Shield helps retain humidity while providing venilation.

Substrate Shield included.  All Zen Habitats now come with an optional substrate shield for those who use loose substrate.

Lightweight – Only 42 lbs. fully assembled.

Easy to assemble – No tools required, but a rubber mallet sometimes helps.

  • Geckos

Ask a Question
  • Does it comes with legs

Stands for the enclosure are sold separately.  We have two options available: our cabinet stand and standard enclosure stand.

  • Can this be turned on the small end to make an arboreal habitat?

Turning it on the side wouldn't let you properly heat and ventilate.  Also the doors would remain opened.  We do have vertical enclosures being built right now which will be available im a few months.

  • Is this tank good for bearded dragons who don't need a high humidity?

Rhis enclosure allows you to use 0%-100% humidity depending on your needs.  Yes great for a bearded dragon.

  • I know this says up to 100% humidity but is it easy to maintain a low humidity in this tank? I would need this tank due to having an UTH and the wood isn’t compatible with a UTH.

Very eqsy to maintain low humidity.  Don't add moisture and do not put on the moisture shield.

  • Would this work for an adult boa constrictor?

It should work great.  Although you may want to super glue the corners.

  • is this stackable with the 4x2x2 tanks with the spacer?

    Yes it is.

  • can you use an under tank heating pad

    Yes you can.

  • What are the lighting and heating options. I have a box turtle.

Our enclosures are designed to support multiple lighting and heating options.  Not being experts in box turtles we cannot recommend the proper heating options.  However I know there are multiple resources that can help.
