The 4'x2'x2' PVC Panel Reptile Enclosure by Zen Habitats is great for lizards, snakes, tortoises, and other small animals that require low to high humidity environment. Zen Habitats Reptile Enclosure uses 1” anodized aluminum, bamboo printed PVC panels, front sliding/removable acrylic doors, a galvanized steel screen top, additional top humidity shield to retain humidity, and a 6" substrate shield (to keep loose substrate in the habitat when the door is open). The steel screen top includes screen support bars and wire grommets to give you the flexibility to install your lighting fixtures inside or outside the enclosure.
Why the 4’x2’x2’ Zen Habitats Reptile Enclosures?
Large enclosures – 120-gallon equivalent. Many reptiles thrive when given room to run, jump, and climb. 4’x2’x2’ reptile enclosures are 3 times larger than 40 gallon breeder tanks.
Non-reflective surfaces reduce anxiety. Most reptiles are territorial and do not like their own reflections.
Front-sliding doors minimize stress when approaching your pet. Many reptiles and amphibians have a parietal eye which helps them spot aerial predators. A lot of reptile tanks open from the top - approaching from above can cause stress for your pet.
Bamboo printed composite PVC panels for up to 100% humidity. Allows for a high humidity environment without the disadvantages of glass aquariums.
Humidity Shield helps retain humidity while providing ventilation.Optional 36" sheet of acrylic that lays on top of the screen to help control humidity.
Substrate Shield included. All Zen Habitats come with an optional substrate shield for those who use loose substrate.
Our beardy loves her new home and we love watching her enjoy it! Very nice and easy to clean.
This is an amazing company. They went above and beyond when the shipping company couldn't do their job. Thank you so much zen habitat!!
Doesn't hold humidity as advertised
For pvc but all in all it good enclosure
I like this enclosure very much. It is easy to heat and my boa loves it.
So happy with our cave purchase!! It’s our dragons favorite place to lounge now
Beautiful tank with a great amount of space to really design something awesome
I love these enclosures. All 3 of my beardies have one, and I won’t use anything else!
This is ghost an he never had anything quiet like this home I got him from a couple who had him in a storage container with holes in it 2 an a half feet in length an a foot an a half wide an 3 feet deep since then I bought the zen habitat enclosure for him as well as a snake hide cave something to climb on as well as a moisture control system an he’s a much better an happier boa for it
I finally got the matching stand. I love this enclosure, and the stand just makes it all come together nicely. I highly recommend the enclosure, the zen mat, and the stand! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. And my dragon loves it too!
First off, shipping was fast, I had the 4x2x2 cage well within a week during the holiday rush. Assembly was easy. The light weight design is really nice, yet sturdy. My daughter's Bearded Dragon, Smaug will have plenty of room to count his gold. Very good product! Quite happy with it!
This was very easy to assemble. The dragon loves it.
Tank is perfect for my ackie monitor, this is my second tank from Zen habitats.
Blown away with both the beauty of the product and the exceptional customer service! From when I was researching terrariums to final setup, Zen staff was prompt in their response and thorough. Thank you Zen for making this such a great shopping experience!
After owning the cage for close to a year now, I can say that the cage has met my expectations. My bearded dragon loves the extra space and has not ‘glass surfed’ since using this cage. My biggest complaints are how cheap the product feels and the lack of firmness (especially considering it’s $400). When we walk past the cage in our home, the whole thing wobbles from the vibrations and it can be audibly heard. I would have expected a bit more stability in this product but I suppose this is a result of having to assemble the product yourself. I wish that the PVC pieces fitted more snug in the frame to help increase stability.
Although the cage can be taken apart, I doubt that this cage was designed with this in mind. The pieces appeared to be too large for some of the slots which meant forcing them into place. As a result of this, I doubt that I could ever take this cage apart without using maximum effort so I decided to keep the cage intact whenever I need to move it. Thankfully it is not that heavy but this is subjective since I am a power lifter.
Putting together the product took a mallet and about an hour of time (beware of the noise if you live in an apartment).
Additionally, the bamboo covered PVC looks ok but I wish the cage came in alternative designs/colors to better match my decor.
Ultimately, my bearded dragon appears to love the cage so I am satisfied with my purchase. I am not sure if I will buy more/another since competitors have since released cheaper (and comparable) alternatives.
Absolutely love this new enclosure! So easy to set up and high quality material. Shipping was super fast and easy. Would highly recommend.
I’m really happy with the way my Zen Habitats enclosure turned out. I got the 4x2x2 Enclosure, the Cabinet Stand, and the Zen Mat for my bearded dragon and I really love it. Yes, it’s on the expensive side but the quality is there for a really great home for your reptile if you have the money to invest. It took me about 45-50 mins to build both the enclosure and the cabinet stand by myself with a rubber mallet, it was easy following the video instruction. Then I installed my lighting, put a cool looking high desert background on the walls, and added some wood and bone decor for a nice little beardie home. I would recommend for sure
I purchased the PVC 4x2x2 enclosure for my ball python, Popcorn. Assembly was super easy, some corner connector pieces were pretty tight but came together with a few whacks with a mallet. The enclosure holds humidity very well but the under tank heater is not coming through as much as hoped so I have temporarily added a ceramic heat emitter to keep temps up and will be switching to a radiant heat panel. I siliconed the edges to do a bioactive setup with a hydroton and screen false bottom and used the Clint's Reptiles Gorilla Glue method for the backdrop. I am a little concerned that running the wires for the CHE out the back port would allow enough space for escape attempts so I have temporarily rigged a back cap to fit over the port with cardboard and duct tape. The possibility of escapees in a setting where wires must be run internally is my only concern/negative and I will probably end up cutting a plastic disc to fit in the wire port leaving only the hole for the actual wire as a permanent solution. A redesign of the port caps that allows for wires but is also secure for smaller/escape-prone animals would be a major plus for the future.
We love all our Zen Habitat products and customer service!
I've been saving up for a year for this tank set up specifically, and it was worth the wait. It's a palace!! It's sturdy and has so much room for Neelix to explore. Set up was a breeze! I'm in love with the final product, and Neelix seems to love it too.
This is the fourth enclosure I’ve purchased from Zen Habitats. They’re all fantastic! I only had to make one modification. They provide a plug for the hole in the back which you can run wires through, but this was still large enough for a little snake to fit through, so I drilled a hole in the solid plug and ran my thermostat probe through that. Still a fantastic enclosure!
So far I love these enclosures! Zen has been great to work with. When I first received my order I realized I had ordered the wood but meant to order the PVC. I contacted them and they allowed me to ship it back and they sent the PVC without charging anything for shipping either way. It was pretty easy to put the enclosures together. The only issue was the glue that was included was hard as a rock.
Love it! Was super easy to assemble. I loved that they had videos so you could see exactly what they were doing. We were building it at 9:30 at night and broke one of the corner hinge pieces. I emailed customer service right then to see about buying a new one and they responded instantly and had one sent out for free. Amazing customer service. I would definitely recommend!
Actually would love it if the plastic corners would stay in! Have to keep pushing the corners back in every week. Figuring this will last about a year and I will have to figure out another habitat that's more sturdy. My snake is only 5ft and every time he leans on the wall on the sides they pop open about 1/4" have to push it back together. May super glue them but then will never be able to take them apart
Clearly this is a well-made enclosure, however I will say it is very difficult with some of the corners to put together even with a rubber mallet( a must have) and they don’t all match up perfectly; but for the price there are many similar enclosures and most of them have similar problems putting them together they don’t fit exactly clean, the screws don’t always go in smoothly, but it is very aesthetically pleasing. The only thing I will say is I am going bio-active so I got the liner which is difficult to put in smoothly even though they give you double stick tape but still I would like something that could be made to fit in more securely and easier. However, for the price which is a bit expensive already at $35.00, I am not sure it could be done. Also, I would like to see a glass piece that would go in the front instead of plexiglass because I now have glass doors and a plexiglass substrate barrier. To
add, the screen top is very easy to use to either hang lights inside or put them on top so I would say compared to many other enclosures that is huge, the metal bars that go across the screen top inside make life a lot easier to hang and position lights anywhere you want to so overall this is well done especially for the price of these days. I will add that I am not sponsored nor in any way do I get anything free like I see many people are able to online, so this review is just genuine and basic and I don’t normally give reviews, but I think it’s worth it. I want to add that their customer service with the online messaging as well as emails is the best I’ve seen for any company, for any product, so they have got one thing completely well done that I haven’t seen any company do at all..complete, caring, customer service!! …especially these days.
I made them slightly more secure using self tapping screws on select joints on the sides and back. Our rainbow is loving it.
The 4x2x2 I bought for my ball when he grew out of his 40 gallon breeder. Beta decision ever. Enough space for him to explore and high enough for some low fake trees (he does enjoy climbing). When he gets a little bigger, I can’t wait to get the expansion kit to give him a 6 foot enclosure. Again, Zen Habitats provides top quality materials as well as great customer service. Both of my snakes are happy and healthy with enough room to explore for enrichment and good exercise. Definitely recommend!
Can’t even begin to explain how nice these enclosures are. I have my adult ball pythons in these 4x2x2 and they love it. Humidity is perfect and there is adequate space for a good hot side and cool side. The deluxe stacker helps hide my lights so my toddler can’t walk up and grab my heat lamps. All in all I am very satisfied with this company and their products.
Definitely love it! It’s much bigger than his old tank and he is definitely happier
Easy assembly, very spacious and had a pleasing aesthetic. These are secure enough to keep venomous. I’ll definitely be buying more.
Love these enclosures! Thinking of adding a third on the top! I have a California Kingsnake and a Bullsnake (who are of course hiding every time I take a photo), and they love the spacious enclosures! Easy to set up with a heat mat and heat regulator/thermometer, and the deluxe spacers are awesome for hiding lights and cords while still providing access. I used a bunch of those "damage free" plastic hooks (with the pull-tabs if I want to remove them) to allow for all the fake foliage, which really adds to the look. It takes a while to assemble everything, but I actually like that kind of thing, so it was a fun project for me. Really love these habitats!
Great customer service!! Beautiful set up.
Easy to put together and my bearded dragon loves all the space!
Wow! These enclosures are amazing! I read the reviews and all the recommendations, and I'm still really impressed with them. They're easy to assemble and they look so professional! I have three of the 4x2x2 enclosures, two cabinet stands, and one 48x24x18 all stacked together and it looks really great all together. My critters love the larger spaces, and so I do. They're easy to put together and so much lighter than the glass and wood enclosures I was using previously. I'm just super happy all around.
Love the enclosure for my red footed tortoise. Easily holds the humidity at 75% and looks amazing!
I got the 4'x2'x2' for my beardie along with the hood and base cabinet. It looks so nice in my living room and my beardie loves it! I loved it so much, I decided to get the 4'x2'x16" for my new tortoise. It was super easy to reconfigure my set up with the addition.
I really wanted to love this enclosure— I really did. It gets some points for aesthetics— really beautiful design, and it’s nice how it’s lightweight. HOWEVER, it really is poorly made. My biggest concern is that I’ve had it for just a few weeks and the bottom panel is already BOWING and looks like it’s going to give out. The corner joints also do not have a tight connection and tend to slightly come apart despite repeatedly smacking them in with a mallet. The only scenario I could see this tank working in is those super minimalist, empty, lightweight beardie enclosures. IT DOES NOT WORK WITH BIOACTIVE— even with the biobasin. It is too unstable. My enclosure is still light enough to move with two people but despite that the bottom panel is still bowing down. Ultimately, I would not purchase again which makes me very sad because I would have loved for this system to work out. Save your money with a sturdier pvc tank from another company. If Zen could design a way to reinforce the corners and bottom panel, they might be worth it.
Love this enclosure! Only issue I had was not paying attention when putting it together so I had to take it back apart and dented it a little bit. But it still looks amazing and the dents are hidden. I do wish there were actual glass panels that came with it as the plastic scratches easily but they can be replaced with real glass panels which I will in the future. Price is high but the quality is worth it.
I purchased the PVC unit because I have a Halmahera blue tongue skink that requires high humidity. The enclosure looks very nice when put together, but it is pretty flimsy if you do not use adhesive. The bottom panel is also way to thin for any kind of bioactive setup. The 1/4” bottom panel will bow real bad with any kind of weight. I had to add a total of 6 braces across the bottom to make it safe. I also had to glue the panels in the metal tracks to give the enclosure some kind of stability and keep it from coming apart at the plastic corner connectors. I would suggest to the company to use a 1/2 panel for the base of this enclosure to give it some rigidity.
The videos were very helpful in building the enclosure. I'm very pleased with how well the material did with foam for the bioactive enclosure. The base, spacer, and encloser fit well together and are helpful when you have multiple elements plugged in. One improvement I would make is how the pieces fit together. Some of the hammering with the mallet required brute force!
My Beardie absolutely loves his new habitat. He has floor space to roam and enough height to add more climbing things. This habitat was very easy to set up and it very sturdy. Defiantly worth the purchase!
This is my second enclosure I've bought from Zen. I will be definitely buying a third.
Very Nice. It's a nice piece of furniture in the grandsons bedroom.
My baby tegu loves his new enclosure!! Fast shipping, easy assembly, and it looks AMAZING!!
Loved the whole process! I reached out to customer service with my needs and concerns for an enclosure for my Savannah monitor, and they were knowledgeable and helpful. Luke loves his new enclosure and will be extending it soon, I’m sure.
It works pretty well but unpacking the acrylic doors is an absolute pain getting the paper off. No matter how I tried it would tear which got extremely annoying. I also wish it held humidity a little better as I need to maintain around 60% in my enclosure and it doesn’t seem to enjoy doing that for as long as I’d wish, usually drops after just one day or two and I’ve got to mist and dampen my substrate again even with the acrylic top on. Overall it looks good and functions pretty well but there’s just a few small things I wish were different. I’d still buy it again if I needed another enclosure.
Great quality enclosure and really easy to assemble. Had a few pieces that were a really tight fit but was able to hammer them into place with a little work. Bought two with two deluxe stacking spacers and the size is perfect when they’re all stacked up. Using them to house a northern blue tongue skink and a ball python.
This enclosure was incredibly easy to put together and I have confidence in how sturdy it is. The new home is perfect for our ball python!
I purchased the base, the 4x2 enclosure and a spacer for the top (strictly to hide the lights and for looks).
I'm constantly getting comments about how nice it looks and my 15 year old, 6 foot king snake loves it. She is way more active now and always exploring.
My only concern, is water and the materials getting wet and expanding/falling apart. I've decided to use a very large container to minimize and almost negate those concerns for when she decides to take a bath. My previous enclosure was glass with a rock style bowl and she always caused it to overflow and spill out. While the big plastic container doesn't look as nice, it serves its purpose well.
Assembly was relatively easy with a rubber mallet and the YouTube videos. There were a few corners that required more than a single whack to get completely installed.
I'm actually very glad I bought the spacer piece also because the extra support cross bars that came with it, I used to further strengthen the actual enclosure which now has 4 cross bars under it.
All in all I really like the setup and I've had it for a few weeks now with no issues.
This enclosure is absolutely beautiful. Easy to put together, spacious, and I love how customizable it is with the different sizes. We ended up getting a custom side glass panel made so our bearded dragon could look outside. That would be my only criticism, not having any option for glass sides. Other than that, we love it and I would definitely get another one in the future for any other reptiles. Thank you!!
This enclosure is literally perfect for our ball python. Setting it up was super easy with the video tutorials, and we could not be happier with the quality and aesthetic.
Not the most high end by any means but awesome for the price. Absolutely love it! Was super easy to assemble then I sealed it with aquarium silicone instead of using their bio basin. My plants and isopods are still growing and or in transit lol so I don't have my ball python (Mickey Knox) in there just yet but I got a feeling he's gonna love it as much as I do.
Souda absolutely loves his new home. I still need to work on the lighting but he travels every inch of this habitat everyday ♡
We were able to put it together very easy and are snakes love it!!!
I first heard of Zen Habitats on YouTube. After researching the product and company, I knew that bang for the buck , this was the best move for upgrading my Boa's enclosure.
April was always helpful in the online chat and answered all my questions prior to receiving the shipment. Once the shipment arrived , there was a substrate shield with a stress fracture from shipping and April immediately had a replacement shield shipped the next day.
I went with 2 4x2x2 pvc enclosures with a frame stand and a cabinet stand..the cages were joined with the extension kit.
Setup was exactly as shown in their build videos and , once again, April was answering my questions during the build as I had them.
I love this enclosure...it's attractive , it's functional and the design was well thought out. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to my friends....5 stars.
Setup for the enclosure was pretty easy. However, a rubber mallet was needed at times. My blue tongue skink Frank loves burrowing in the substrate in his new spacious enclosure. I would definitely recommend Zen Habits Bio- Basin to anyone that wants substrate in their enclosure. My only beef was the amount of time it took for the enclosure to arrive at my residence (a couple months). Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.
we like the size, but thats about it. honestly disappointed with the entire experience. shipment was delayed by fedex and boxes arrived dented and ripped open. almost every PVC panel was chipped. was told parts would not be replaced unless the damage was visible upon assembly, which fortunately was not the case.
assembly was annoying. probably took over an hour just to peel the plastic and paper coverings off everything
holds heat ok, but had to add towels to cover the top as the humidity shield barely works.
theres also about a 1/2 inch (or less) gap between the substrate shield and the sliding doors that our snakes wedged into and almost got stuck in. we've had to purchase additional materials to block it..
so just really not impressed for how much we paid. hopefully we at least get some years of use out of them..
This tank is beautiful and well constructed. It was super easy to put together and our Brazilian Rainbow Boa Gema loves her new home! There was a slight delay in delivery due to Covid but Zen Habitats kept us updated throughout the entire time. If you need to contact them for any reason, they respond within 24 hours to your inquiry. Awesome customer service! I would definitely recommend them for all of your custom tank needs.
I really like this enclosure. It is relatively inexpensive and lightweight. It holds heat well, has opaque sides that help prevent glass surfing, and provides enough room for good exercise and enrichment.
The only difficult part was assembly, resulting in a cage that is a little unsteady when moved around.
That being said, I would suggest it (especially the PVC version) to others with bearded dragons.
it took a very long time.... but GREAT customer service
He absolutely loves all the extra room to run around and climb. Super easy to put together, and the front sliding doors are awesome. Thanks for an amazing product
My experience with this enclosure was abysmal to say the least. If I had a time machine the first thing I would do is go back and slap myself in the head to save myself from this nightmarish purchase.
Got the tank pretty fast once they got it in, it's light and sturdy but a little hard to put together by yourself
I really like these. I upgraded to the PVC and the glass doors. It did take a very long time to arrive, but I anticipated that.
Amazing. Holds humidity great.
Love these enclosures!! I have one for each of my two beardies! Highly recommend them to anyone!! Great company to purchase from; yes there might be a delay in receiving the enclosure but they’re so worth the wait and ZenHab is fantastic at sending email updates on product arrivals.
I love the size of this terrarium but some of the pieces can sometimes slip out but it's not a hard fix... But I can't wait to put my beardie in it ❤️
I love this enclosure! It was super easy to assemble and my blue tongue skink has been exploring like a mad man. He loves it so much.
The is a great. Pretty easy to assemble, wife put together in couple hours.
Shipping too way longer then they said then boards came with damage but did reach out to customer service and they did make good on the fact the boards were damaged
The doors scratch themselves with use, but it’s otherwise a great habitat
Awesome habitat. Sydney lives his space.
I do really like the enclosure however one corner of one of the pvc panels was broken and the frame was incredibly difficult to fit together at some junctions. Overall I would still recommend this product but based on how much it costs it was a frustrating experience putting it together.
Great enclosure, excellent size and easy to put together. Excellent communication from Zen Habitats regarding the order processing and its status. Perfect for my bearded dragon Ferrovax.
My bearded dragon loves his zen!!
Arrived damaged, but still works.
3 corners were smashed and splitting. Luckily I still was able to get then into the frame, but very disappointed to pay that much for something that isn't very durable.
All set up, it looks great. It isn't too heavy, doors slide well, the pvc walls do smell though so I had to air it out for a couple days before I put my corn snake in.
Turned out so nice, and great customer service!
One part arrived damaged by FedEx twice! And they were quick to replace it both times, and now we have a pretty tank for our dragon.
Video instructions made it really easy to understand what to do. Build was simple, a lot less difficult than IKEA stuff. Came together nicely. Hardest part was getting the protective paper off the door panels (but I have very short fingernails).
Great tips on Zen website about using command strip hooks, rehung our hammock with those and holding well.
Bottom piece bowed a little bit from our heavy basking rocks (15kgs?), but added a small support under that area to assist.
Top screen is great, and the cross-braces add a lot of strength to it if you want to put anything on top. (I put a tile across them and put a large model ship on top). Adding the light (mine is from Carolina Cages) was simple, but had to use a finishing nail to gently widen the hole (slightly) in the screen to put a screw in from the top.
Overall, very happy with the quality and ease of the build. Great aesthetics too!
Knowing what I know now, I'd make the same decision and go with Zen Habitats.
I like the product so far, I've had it for about a month or so. The front Viewing panels were easy to scratch up, and I accidentally did so in the first five minutes. Oh, also when taking off the paper cover for the acrylic go slowly and take your time, it's easier than just ripping away. Overall I love the product and I hope to get more in the future.
Got my 4 ft long ball python in here. She loves it! Now she can stretch out whenever she wants and has more room to explore than in her old 40 gallon tank. Love it!
Easy to put together. Spacious my dragon loves it and explores it daily.
While shipping can take a long while. Its worth the wait. These tanks are super easy to put together, though you will need a rubber mallet. xD My bearded dragon and Blue tongue both love all the space they have now. The only thing I did was go to lowes to get a clear piece of acrylic, as my bearded dragon loves to watch the tv.
I love it! Can’t wait to get my bearded dragon!
We’re happy with the habitat overall, but some of the pieces were damaged when they arrived. We never contacted customer service because we waited so long for it to arrive.
I enjoy looking at him. It a work in progress and l am excited. It did take alot of adjusting and buying new bulb and domes to balance his Zen.
I don't have any pictures to upload but I wish that I kept my money in my pocket... First off, the written directions that I got in my email doesn't match up to the video instructions. The wood isn't Bamboo at all it is most definitely pressed wood.. This cage is so wobbly that my dad had to put L brackets and rivets on it to make it more sturdy. All of my pieces weren't labeled and came in bent. My dad had to hammer it back into place. We broke one of the plastic pieces and thought that they would give you maybe 1 extra but no they didn't.. The plastic doors don't even close so if I left food in there for him they could escape. Gladly I don't do that and I watch everything he eats.. I have 3 scratches in the plastic doors as well. All I did was peel off the tape and boom there were scratches on it.. Also there is no wooden piece in between the cage itself and bottom piece. The wood on the bottom of the cage sinks in so I had to pay $40 to have a piece of glass custom made to put in on the bottom so my bearded dragon doesn't fall in. I spent $578 on a very crappy cage.. I am not satisfied at all. My little guy is happy though so that is all that matter I guess. I will now know not to buy another product from this company and keep my money safely in my pocket.
I love the look and it does its job well, but it doeant go together as easy as they make it look (some corners still dont fit together all the way) which is my biggest complaint about the cage
Some minor things i would like is a better way to attach the substrate shield, it just feels a little cheap and maybe not the best long term use but it does its job. The cage top is noisy but it is nice.
this will hopefully be my BP Bo's forever home and i plan to upgrade the look and eventually make this bioactive so i will eventually right another review, but for now id say overall i like it a lot and so does Bo.
I would not recommend this cage for snake owners! At first, I was very happy; it was easy to put together and I thought it was working out great (after a lot of fiddling to get the temperatures hot enough in such a big enclosure). However, after only 3 months my corn snake has escaped. As a first time snake owned, I am devastated. There is a small gap between the sliding glass doors, which is probably how it got out. Do not buy this if you have a young snake!
So excited to finally have Kahlua in her forever home. Assembling couldn't have been easier thanks to detailed instructional videos online and everything came together exactly as expected. We had the enclosure assembled in under and hour, though it was an additional 2 weeks before actually housing our beloved Ball Python Kahlua.
She's been enjoying her new digs for a few weeks and I have no complaints thus far. She seems to love the extra wiggle room with more nooks and crannies to hide, and yes even things to climb on now versus her previous enclosure. Humidity and temps are easier to maintain than previous glass enclosure.
I love the overall look of the enclosure and even once the backround was foamed in it was still lightweight and easy to move.
If I had anything at all to complain about it would be the very long wait times and delays but it's definitely worth the wait. Even still, the turnaround is clearly mentioned and I was well aware prior to making the purchase.
Perfect and spacious for my Brazilian Rainbow Boa! PVC and humidity shield help so much in locking the humidity in. The enclosure stays so warm too which was helpful in the winter.
My bearded dragon, Bindi, loves her Zen Habitat! She has so much room to move around and so many new places to explore. Not to mention, even though the habitat is huge compared to our old front opening glass enclosure, it brightens up the room so much! Honestly, our Zen Habitat just makes me smile and I could stare at it, and my beardie, for hours.
I love my Zen! I've gotten so many compliments on how nice it looks in my living room. And of course, my yearling corn snake loves it too. It has the height for him to climb and the floor space to really stretch out. Eventually, I'll buy another one for my smaller snake.
My ball python likes to climb around, so I added a rock wall in the back. This enclosure is great. The little add-ons like the door locking clip are nice and well thought-out IMO. And I really like Randy's instructional videos!
Well made and beautiful! I have two and will definitely be getting more! Perfect for my snakes!
I love my zen! It was very easy to assemble and I can keep all my bioactive in there with my beardie easily. He transitioned very easily and he moves around more and I watch him all day from the live stream. I would recommend anyone to buy one for their beardie.
It is a nice habitat for the bearded dragon but the fact that it's 2 feet tall I have to run 2 heat lamps because they're so far away. I think 18 inches would have been plenty tall enough for a dragon.
Put together, I love it. Putting it together? An absolute nightmare. Do not believe the claims about it being easy to put together, the video of them assembling is super misleading. They say at most you'll need a rubber mallet. I needed a hammer and file for when the hammer didn't work. So, it's nice now that's it's finished but I wouldn't purchase again. With how difficult it is to assemble and the lower quality materials, 8 would expect this to be $100 cheaper.
My baby bp loves her enclosure. Lots of space to move around. As soon as she's at her adult size, I'll get the 4x2x2.
We had a few bumps in the road when we first started putting the enclosure together. Customer service worked with us, replaced a couple of parts, and now we are all put together and looking/functioning great. We would recommend to others.
