  1. Tank stays cleaner due to bioactive cycle
  2. Less substrate changes, which is less stressful on your pet
  3. Closer to replicating your pet’s natural habitat
  4. More attractive than traditional substrates

How to Prep: Place a 2.5-3 inch layer of BioBedding Pac-Man in your enclosure. Add dechlorinated or R/O water until BioBedding sticks together when squeezed, but no water runs out.

Recommended Animals: Biobedding Pac-Man is specifically designed with pac-man frogs in mind. It can also be used with tomato frogs and pixie frogs.

Recommended Plants: Terrestrial plants can be planted directly into BioBedding. BioBedding Pac-Man is a great substrate for most tropical plants, but make sure to match your plants’ needs to your pets’ environment!

Suitable for Misted Setups: Yes. BioBedding Pac-Man does not require a drainage layer if used with light or hand misting. For automatic misting setups, use in conjunction with a 2" layer of Josh's Frogs False Bottom and a Substrate Barrier.

Care: BioBedding Pac-Man is a naturalistic vivarium substrate and is meant to house a bioactive clean up crew! Stir the surface of BioBedding Pac-Man every 1-2 weeks with a fork, or if waste is visible. Burying waste allows microfauna to process it quicker. Change the substrate when it begins to break down - typically after several years. Please note that Biobedding Pac-Man is designed to grow fungi - this is not a sign of a dirty tank, but of a healthy, clean bioactive environment.
