Major upgrade for my Crested Gecko KoKo. She loves the extra space. She’s all over this enclosure. It holds humidity well. Easy to put together and Zen Habitats provides great customer service experience.

I purchased this enclosure for a colony of emerald tree skinks. This was easy and quick to assemble. I still have not received the animals yet but added isopods and plenty of plants and the enclosure looks great!

This was a very classy upgrade for my home office. My chameleon loves it! It maintains a 40-45% humidity without effort and has lots of space for my Cham to roam around. My only suggestion for Cham owners is have LOTS of live and artificial plants to fill it with. This will cut down chances your Cham sees its reflection on the acrylic door (chams are territorial and can get stressed even from their own reflection). Since this picture was taken, I doubled the vegetation, and my Cham loves it! He’s active, healthy and it’s so much fun to watch him hunt.

I love zen habits I have 5 of the enclosures and will continue to buy more and more….makes my reptile room look amazing with each purchase

Great enclosure. Helps to keep my boys humidity levels correct which is super important for my chameleon.

I am extremely pleased with the quality and ease of assembly of this habitat. I materials in the finish or significantly above other products on the market. The matching base houses all of my timers and water reservoirs and pumps and foggers very well and keeps it looking clean and presentable enough to have in the main part of my home. Extremely pleased with the customer service as well.

would give 0 stars if i could. ever since i got it about a year ago i have had issues with it leaking. i have tried everything to stop it because i have put thousands into this tank but even after i siliconed every single seam and have the bio basin in, it still leaks water every time i mist. this tank has cost me so much money in repairs and damage that i have finally decided to get a new tank from a different company. i also have a huge scar on my foot from the door randomly falling off when i opened it one day because the pins holding it in are so small. if your reptile/ amphibian needs even the smallest amount of humidity i do not recommend this enclosure.

Extremely well designed with very understandable instructions. Well made. Very impressed.

Love the aesthetics. It was much easier to assemble than I had feared. SO much room to roam and room for plants. My Cham Buddy has adapted well and has been more relaxed. Only downside is humidity containment. Overall I am pleased and working on ways to increase the humidity with the limitations in my space. The only space for cords is in the back. Added a drip system today and picking up a misting system tomorrow. The major selling point for me was the horizontal bars inside the enclosure that allow for infinite creativity and change. So far, it is Buddy approved, and that is what matters.

The enclosure is awesome. It’s very easy to put together if you follow the instruction video. Just make sure you have a rubber mallet or the equivalent I made the mistake of not having one. My chameleon seems to love it though, he has so much more space.

My Zen 2x2x4 enclosure is really quite nice. I would have posted pics of it, but it is just the enclosure. I am still in the process of getting everything I need to get it up and going. But my overall opinion is that this is a very nice-looking unit and can be incorporated with your furniture anywhere in the home. I did have a problem which was my fault I broke a couple of the end pieces and realized they were not going to be able to be used again so I quickly e-mailed Zen and got back with me in minutes and had new ones on the way that evening. You cannot simply get any better than that. And I do thank you for replacing those for me.
Thank You
JIM

Found assembly fairly straight forward and simple. Had serious concerns over the seams leaking water which i adressed by sealing them. And adding extra security to the door as the whole thing is somewhat wobbly. They are stackable altho i wouldnt trust them to bear much weight. Purchased two 2x2x4 and one 4x2x16. They did the trick for what i needed quickly. But if you need something sturdy or that you wish to stack with heavy substrate or high humidity animals that require mist systems would reccomend building your own tank fot less.

After a lot of research we purchased the Zen 2x2x4 enclosure as an upgrade for our 8 month old Veiled Chameleon. While we still have to fit it out with vines, decor and other items, we are very happy with the enclosure. It was easy to assemble (even for one person) and is very solid. The design is well thought out and solid. We can’t wait to move our chameleon in.

Wonderful products I got a 4x2x2 for my uromastyx and a 2x4x2 arboreal enclosure for my veiled chameleon they both love their new enclosures and I love they way they look!

The enclosure came quickly, all the pieces were there and it was fairly simple to put together! It is huge and I think fairly priced for the size.
However, it’s not sturdy, the pieces move and come out of their sockets occasionally if bumped the wrong way. It doesn’t hold heat and humidity well. The acrylic door was scratched upon arrival.
For the price, I think using thicker slightly thicker boards and tighter fixtures would be advantageous. As well as including bulb sockets. No one wants to have dome heaters on the tops of their enclosures if they are purchasing something like this. They want sleek, modern, gorgeous enclosure.I also wish they offered a black color option instead of just bamboo. Unfortunately I wasn’t wowed enough to purchase again from ZenHabitats.
If you enjoy a super large enclosure, are ok with domes on top, and like the bamboo color, this would be for you!

Great, quality product. Very sturdy and well worth the money. Customer service is also fantastic! I highly recommend!!!

My panther chameleon seems to love her space! This is super well built and is just right for her. :) I like the support bars at the top for hanging her plants from. Also, the privacy and humidity levels are positive aspects of the solid sides.
Josh B.
Well constructed. Used pop rivets to attach foam aquarium rock structure to walls. Tucked plastic leaves behind structure. Countersunk drywall screws to attach locally sourced grape wood (pet stores) to the walls and zip ties to secure smaller pieces. Samoan tree boa loves it … therefore it’s a winner!

Perfect for my adult crested geckos
Joshua C.
My 2x2x4 allows me to keep a pair of crested geckos successfully. It provides so much room and helps my humidity requirements a ton. The cage allows for spectacular nocturnal viewing at night ! The center piece of my room definitely.
JOSEPH B.
This is the perfect enclosure for your Chameleon! With a few modifications you can create an oasis! The other options on amazon and different websites are nowhere near the high quality that zenhabits offers.
Breann L.
I decided to go bigger for my crested gecko. I’m so glad I did. He loves the extra space and I love that it’s easy to put together and for a great price as well.

This is going to be a bit long, but I want to preface my post by saying that I am not making any sort of statement about ZenHabitat products as a whole or even their customer service as a whole, just merely my own personal experience with their product.
I ordered earlier in the year from them this enclosure, knowing that their site said it would be an extended period for shipping due to Covid. That wasn't an issue. A while after ordering I emailed them to ask if it would be possible to change the address in my account that the product would be shipped too. They were very responsive and told me that as long as the product hadn't gone out yet that wasn't a problem to just let them know. Unfortunately my family had an emergency situation arise that led to me needing to move 20+ hours across the country to be with them. Again, customer service was great and they said they'd get that taken care of. No issue. The cage arrived and despite the fact packaging was battered and beaten (not their fault) it seemed fine. Due to the hectic nature of the move, I didn't get to putting the cage together right away as I was having to rearrange all my animals and my own sleeping arrangements while we stayed with family temporarily.
Once I got the cage pieces unpackaged I noticed that I didn't seem to have the pieces the instructions that were emailed to me in a link said I should have. So I contacted them. In the process of waiting for a response I started putting together what I did have. This is where I ran into my first real "problem". A corner joint piece broke off inside the aluminum tube (tract). I contacted them with photos about this. We had a few emails back and forth (Never the same person each time always a new person in the email which may have added to the confusion at least on my end). After a mishap with sending the replacement part that broke and the pieces that were missing, to the wrong address I finally got my pieces.
Here are my biggest issues. The aluminum frame is super easy to bend or misshape out of place. Despite my best efforts to get the broken plastic corner piece dislodged without damage, it ended up bending and breaking part of the frame to do so. I didn't complain, just said it is what it is and tried my best to bend it back into shape. From there it just seemed like I had one issue after another. Almost none of the corner joints fit nicely into the frame ends. Most are gaped to some degree and no matter how I tried mixing them around and using a rubber mallet to gentle and then firmly tap them into place, as shown in the videos, it wasn't budging. The whole set up once together is not stable. Not like I believe it should be. None of the corners come together in a tight fit on the bottom inside or the top. You can see gaps and I believe it's because of this that the whole structure is wobbly. Further more it doesn't provide a tight enough seal that I was okay not using a liner for the bottom substrate. I'm also looking into getting some sort of latch or lock I can install on the top to keep the "lid" so to speak from popping up. If my guy was a large snake or decent sized lizard, he'd be out of the enclosure in no time. Even just shifting the cage causes the top lid with the screen to pop out of the joints.
Finally, the door and locks. The door sticks so badly I literally hate having to go into this cage. The issue is mainly the locks. I've taken them off, flipped them around and reinstalled twice hoping to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but it just genuinely seems to me like it's a manufacturing issue. The locks secure the door very well, but the issue is then needing to open the door. Even when unlocked the lock end doesn't retract enough on the door to not catch on the frame and i have to hold the frame in one hand and pull the lock with the other and wiggle to get it open. Which in turns wobbles the whole cage.
All in all I'm super bummed because I'd waited a long time to purchase this enclosure due to the cost. I would have given them a 2 star, but I do feel that a 3 was more justified as they were always very responsive when I'd message and were polite even though we had hiccups in communication along the way. They also never really questioned me when I said I was missing pieces and even admitted they made a mistake on their part with directions for the model I ordered not being correct. I respect that a lot.
I don't think I'll be ordering from them again however. I love my critters and want to give them the best lives possible, as much space as possible, but the reality is I'm on a fixed income, just made a huge expensive move and frankly can't afford to toss money down the drain like this. Maybe in the future I'll give their products another chance, starting over with something smaller than the one I ordered to see if that makes a difference. I'm hoping that this is just a fluke and I had a bad roll of the dice with product. I chose them because I'd done so much research on them and had heard so many great things. So who knows.
Again, I'm not bad mouthing the company, just sharing my experience, as I'd hate to not be honest and someone else have this issue too. I can't speak to any product or others experiences but my own in this one.

This enclosure is light weight, easy to work with and well organized. We followed the video to put it together. We had to hit it much harder than the guy in the video to get it all seated well but it worked and now it very sturdy. It looks very nice also. My son loves what he’s been able to do with it.
William B.
I like the enclosure, price wasn't too bad for the amount of space within. Stands nice and tall, great display piece for my Emerald Tree Boa! The only thing I would have liked is if there was a way to caulk or seal off the bottom. The bio basin doesn't fit tight enough and still allows water to escape. Aside from that, no issues, love the enosure!
Michael G.
It's a great tank! It was pretty easy to set up, but some of the parts took a lot of effort to fit in.
Sarah N.
The enclosure was pretty easy to put together and has been able to deal with a bit of abuse I put it through to construct the interior. I’m very happy with this product. Only part that wasn’t the best was the two locks for the door, they’re a bit awkward. However, the door design will allow us to purchase our own lock type and replace it. Overall I’m very happy.
Aaron H.
My Monkey Tailed Skink, Morgoth, absolutely love his new enclosure, and so do I! Easy assembly, fantastic quality, and so simple to clean.
Will definitely be purchasing another in the very near future!
Sean B.
Perfect for bioactive enclosures for arboreal species! Zen habitats have turned keeping reptiles into a literal art form now and I couldn't be happier! All of my future enclosures will most likely be purchased here.
Tricia K.
Both of my chameleons are in these setups! It is a great size, gorgeous visibility to see your animal, and the screen option for added ventilation is a must for chameleons. The PVC really keeps the humidity in and my chameleons at very happy in these enclosures!
Ryan F.
Easy to put together. It’s sturdy and my chameleon loves his new home.
Rickeesia M.
The instructions were a little bit of an adventure, and the plastic connectors were more delicate than expected ( swing that rubber mallet with care ya'll), also prepare to get more lighting/heat and moisture providers, but my Chinese Water dragon is
living his best life and that's what matters!
Andrew W.
Great cage, used for frilled lizard. She loves it.

Great enclosure!!! Easy to put together. My chameleon loves it!

Quick shipping and great quality!!!! Love it!

The 4’x2’x2’ arboreal Zen habitat is easy to customize and create an efficient space for our emeralds. I recommend the room temp and humidity be similar to the temp and humidity inside the enclosure. We knew going in that the enclosures would work for us since our snake room stays hot and humid. They were ordered and delivered within days. I had shipping damage to a piece of one of the habitats and zen shipped the replacement to that week. Customer service was incredible. Thanks Zen Keep being AMAZING! YOU ROCK!!!☀️☄️

Easy to assemble but a rubber mallet will make it much easier, overall i would say it's a great product for the price.
Daniel S.
Great enclosure! Our chameleon started exploring the minute we put her in. I replaced the 2 side pvc panels with glass so she could get some extra sunlight.
Matthew W.
Looks good, feels sturdy once it's put together, just wish it came with some sort of handle instead of relying on the tiny lock knobs.
Brian p.
Very nice enclosure, easy assembly!
Elisha W.
Love my zen habitat enclosure ! Set up for my chameleon, and she seems to be loving it !
Benjamin G.
Set mine up as a bioactive with water feature for my rainbow boa. Background was done the same way as any other glass terrarium but extra care had to be taken for the waterproofing. Only 4 stars because I wish you made a 2×2×2 base, and it would be interesting to see some paladarium type options for the lower section. Other than that, love it! Great bang for the buck with options for customization if youre willing to improvise.
Chloe T.
This has been an awesome first home for our Chinese Water Dragon, and I plan to buy multiple other enclosures. Thanks for the awesome product!!!
Brooke G.
My snake absolutely loves this! I was worried about keeping heat and humidity in such a bigger tank, but it kept both SO well and EASILY.
Bryce B.
Took about an hour to put up. Do wish they had a video for every habitat. Lol. Make sure to use a rubber hammer so you do not dent the metal. Looks very nice. You can cut/decorate where you’d like! Bought two different sizes. Habitats like these are hard to find

Absolutely A+ company and product -- fast shipping, splendid customer service, and personally answered all of our questions regarding set-up and customization. Out of all our (many) orders, only one part arrived damaged, and they sent out another at no extra cost the next day. Tremendous, sturdy, spacious tanks that look like works of art and add beautifully to our home.
