Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Zen 3.0 Pro the same size as the Zen 3.0?
Not exactly. The 3.0 Pro line uses stronger aluminum framing, which significantly reduces bowing compared to previous versions. The 3.0 Pro line uses the dimensions and weights of our earlier Original enclosure line.
Does my current Zen Mat fit the Zen 3.0 Pro?
The 4'x2'x2' Pro fits the same Zen Mat size as the Original line.
3.0 Pro-specific mats will also be available for sale.
How much substrate can the Zen 3.0 Pro hold?
Up to 100 lbs, about 3" deep (some substrates can go deeper depending on density), without bowing when stacked.
On a sturdy, solid piece of furniture, you can safely exceed 100 lbs of substrate without worry (Provided your furniture can support the weight!)
Can I stack the 3.0 Pro on my existing Zen 3.0?
Yes, with the 3.0 Pro on the bottom. The Zen 3.0 stacking dowels don't fit the Pro, so secure the stack with VHB (very high bond) tape, available at any hardware store.
Will my Zen 3.0 Pro doors stick when stacked?
The 3.0 Pro frame is designed to not bow when stacked, which is what causes doors to stick.
Do I need anything extra for a stand?
No. Support bars ship with every stand order.
Can I use an extension kit to connect two enclosures together?
Yes. Extension kits made specifically for 3.0 Pro enclosures will be available for sale. Other extension kit models, including 3.0 extension kits, are not compatible.
